You are here: Home Blog Guides & Reviews Review: Milwaukee M12 FUEL 2nd Generation
The Milwaukee M12 2nd generation has arrived and it has absolutely delivered. The M12 FUEL hammer drill, drill driver and hex impact driver have been revamped and redesigned. They are more capable and more compact than ever before.
Their ability to perform a wide range of applications in the tightest of spaces sets them apart from other 12V solutions in the industry.
Milwaukee have changed the landscape of 12V power tools. They are light and portable, making them easier to transport. Furthermore, they cause less strain and pain as a result of the aforementioned adjustments.
This is in part due to the hand tool replacement option. One of Milwaukee’s key factors for creating the M12 line was to decrease the chances of tradesmen suffering repetitive injury. Given the movements and effort required on the job, this is a big step in safety.
While the Milwaukee M12 gen 2 range boasts many cross-product qualities, there are little individual touches that add to them. The impact driver, for example, features 4-mode drive control. This gives you superior control over output speed and power for greater versatility.
The hammer drill and drill driver are the only 12V tools on the market with an all-metal 13mm chuck*. Both have 16 torque settings, providing plenty of scope when it comes to setting screws. Indeed, the hammer drill is also capable of producing up to 25,500 beats per minute (BPM).
You can complement your Milwaukee M12 gen 2 tools with the M12 6.0Ah battery. It delivers more run time power and battery life than many of its competitors’.
On the other hand, in an ideal world kitchen fitters may prefer reducing the weight you carry around, making the M12 2.0Ah battery more convenient for your needs. For instance, if you’re a kitchen fitter, this may be ideal for you.
One of the major benefits of the impact driver is its lightness and compactness, so a smaller battery maintains that. Either way, we have you covered.
So with all that said, it’s time for you to sample the machines for yourself. Browse our selection here. Alternatively, visit one of our showrooms or upcoming trade shows for a live demonstration.
