Features:

The 18 volt cordless tools from Panasonic features 3.3ah (3.5ah nominal) batteries for an extended runtime. Featuring cobalt lithium ion technology ensures they stay cooler therefore extending the life of the batteries. The batteries also have 3 types of protection built in. Each cell has an overload sensor and protector. There is an undercharge protector to ensure the battery never discharges fully. There is also an overheat protector to ensure the battery doesn't get too hot.

'Tough Tool IP' technology. This step forward provides a new level of toughness in the form of resistance to dust and water. To achieve this level, the components of the tools were specially adapted. The switches are treated with a special compound and in the Rotary Hammer an additional rubber cap ensures the switch is sealed against water and dust. The electronic circuits of the drills control panel and the battery packs, are covered by a Urethane layer for maximum protection. Inside each battery pack each individual battery cell is sealed to avoid any intrusion of moisture.

The Panasonic EY7550 features a brushless motor and three switchable torque levels, hard, medium or soft mode. In hard mode the EY7550 offers approximately 155Nm of torque, ideal for large nuts and bolts. In soft mode the EY7550 gives you approximately 40Nm to reduce material surface damage and avoid stripping screw heads. The EY7550 also features a microcomputer and brushless motor giving increased motor life and avoiding the possibility of overheating.
