Features:

The 18 volt cordless tools from Panasonic features 3.3ah (3.5ah nominal) batteries for an extended runtime. Featuring cobalt lithium ion technology ensures they stay cooler therefore extending the life of the batteries. The batteries also have 3 types of protection built in. Each cell has an overload sensor and protector. There is an undercharge protector to ensure the battery never discharges fully. There is also an overheat protector to ensure the battery doesn't get too hot.

'Tough Tool IP' technology. This step forward provides a new level of toughness in the form of resistance to dust and water. To achieve this level, the components of the tools were specially adapted. The switches are treated with a special compound and in the Rotary Hammer an additional rubber cap ensures the switch is sealed against water and dust. The electronic circuits of the drills control panel and the battery packs, are covered by a Urethane layer for maximum protection. Inside each battery pack each individual battery cell is sealed to avoid any intrusion of moisture.

The EY7950 hammer drill/driver features a new 4 pole motor with 4 brushes which delivers outstanding performance in both speed, stability and torque. It is designed for high resistance against overheating to reach exceptional durability. With 29,700bpm it drills through masonry / domestic brick with ease. All steel gearing reduces wear on key drivetrain components increasing durability in the toughest conditions. The motor is specifically designed to give high cooling efficiency ensuring that even when working hard the EY7950LR2S's motor temperature stays low.
